The Radcross Illnau has become an integral part of the international cyclocross calendar and looks back on an exciting history.

The beginnings and growth

Eleven years ago, the Radcross Illnau started as an ambitious project to bring the fascination of cyclocross to the region. Since then, the event has continued to develop and is now a highlight in the annual calendar of many cyclists and fans. From the beginning, the aim was not only to offer a high-class sporting race, but also to create a celebration for the whole family.

A decade dedicated to cyclocross

The 10-year anniversary was a milestone. With great commitment and support from the community and sponsors, the event became a magnet for national and international top riders. Year after year, the Illnau cyclocross attracts numerous visitors who enjoy the spectacular races and the unique atmosphere.

New leadership – new visions

After the anniversary, Beat Brüngger, the long-standing head of the organizing committee, stepped down and handed over the management to Eric Brüngger and his brother Nico Brüngger. Both are determined to continue this traditional event and enrich it with new, exciting elements. The vision is to continue to make the Radcross Illnau successful and exciting.

Highlights and attractions

The 11th Radcross Illnau is offering free entry as a thank you to loyal visitors. There will also be a raffle for two children's bikes in the kids' categories to encourage enthusiasm for cycling among the youngest. A special highlight will be the air show by the Swiss Air Force PC-7 team - a spectacle that should not be missed.

Wide field of participants

More than 300 cyclists from all over Europe will compete in 10 different categories. From the international elite, who will fight for important UCI points, to the everyman/woman category, which is open to all cycling enthusiasts. There are five categories for non-licensed riders, and around 50 young talents are expected in the Pfüderi and kids categories.

A celebration for the region

The new organizing team has set itself the goal of creating an event that will radiate beyond the city of Illnau. Thanks to the perfect race site in the middle of Illnau and the special atmosphere, this event will be a celebration for everyone - cycling fans and families alike.
